Canada is a great energy country because we are home to some of the world’s greatest energy people.  Canadian energy has inspired some of the most talented, dedicated and imaginative hearts and minds this country has ever known.

The Canadian Energy Person of the Year Award was established in 2001 to recognize and pay tribute to a leader who has made a significant impact within the sector.  Nominations are based upon a candidate’s outstanding accomplishments and their positive reputation in the community at large.

Award recipients demonstrate an ability to balance the economic, environmental and social dimensions of energy development and delivery. Their accomplishments advance the Canadian energy sector nationally and internationally.
